If you are getting just one laptop, get the surface pro. It is faster, bigger and a longer battery life and not that much more expensive. If you are looking for a laptop that is easy to use as a tablet, easy to carry around, understanding that it has some limitations on speed and storage, the Go is very nice so far.

What it really comes down to is your screen size preference, and memory and processing needs. Since the Surface Go is designed to be more portable than ever before, the screen size is smaller than the Surface Pro at 10 inches. You will also find that the processor and memory of the Surface Go is less than the Surface Pro, but you should have no issue running programs like Microsoft Office for presentations, essays, notes and anything else you may need to accomplish for school. If you should ever find yourself needing more storage capacity, you can always use the USB port to add external storage, or store your files in OneDrive with your Microsoft account. We hope this helps!
