• all laptops can get viruses, you just have to be careful what you're downloading or opening. anitvirus software is always an option.

• If you stick with Windows 10S (preloaded), getting viruses is less likely but still possible. The key is to make sure you keep Windows Defender updated.

• You should be fine. Windowns 10s is a very safe system because you download apps directly from Microsoft

• surface laptops come pre-loaded with windows 10S, which limits the operating system to only allow installations from the windows store. if you keep the windows 10S operating system, there is an extremely slim chance you will get viruses, thus antivirus software is unnecessary.
