Are there no USB slots? null

These laptops definitely are lacking in the ports department. But there are two USB ports: 1 usb3 (normal) and 1 USB-C (new standard)

All you need is a USB C. With that you can have dock installed that provides hard wire internet (ethernet), an external monitor(s), extra usb 2 and 3 ports. USB C is amazing.

There are two ports. One USB-A and basic USB-C

There is one USB type A and one type C. I tried a cheap hub connected to the USB C and I could add more drives without a problem.

Surface Laptop 4 includes one USB-C port and one USB-A port.
