Yes you just need to purchase an adapter
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there is DisplayPort output. If your monitor requires hdmi input you will need to buy the adapter ($39.99) and then run an hdmi cable from the adapter to your monitor. The same goes for vga, except you will need to buy a vga adapter instead of hdmi. You can then use your monitor as either an extended display or a duplicate of your Surface's display. In the unlikely chance that your monitor supports displayport natively you can daisy chain them together to use more monitors. This is a newer technology though - and not many monitors support it yet (hence the need for the adapter). MAKE SURE THE ADAPTER YOU PURCHASE IS FOR PRO AND NOT RT VERSION OF SURFACE.
