“Can it run takeoff programs? I'm in the construction business and need to be able to run takeoff programs. I now have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and a chromebook, things get cumbersome with two devices and neither of them can run a takeoff program. I need to be at home on my desktop to do so. So this device would give me much greater flexibility if it would allow me to keep the functionality I like of my tablet while at appointments, as well as the capabilities of a laptop. Anyone have any experience with this?”

With my experience so far, it will run any program a typical laptop would (running Windows 8.1). It's 64 bit so it should handle a takeoff program just fine.

Yes it appears to meet the minimum system requirements for a "Takeoff" application. http://www.oncenter.com/support/FAQ_sysRequirements.html
