just ordered and received my new Surface Pro. NO Excel, Word, Microsoft licensed products. The icon's are there for you to download Microsoft Office 365 which is a subscirption product. It has all the Windows products. You can download Google and make it your primary but as a Windows product I see Microsoft Edge as the default search engine. That's what I see.

No, you will have to purchase Microsoft office separately just like any other computer these days. You will be able to access Google through the internet whether it be through pre loaded internet search engine or switching to Google chrome.

However, if you wish to use Microsoft Excel, you must purchase the version of Microsoft Office that you wish to have to utilize this feature.
