• They are indeed very similar. The CPU chip is better, and the placement of the USB ports, power port, and buttons are IMHO much more convenient. Also the SSD chip is slightly easier to get to, since you do not need a tool to open the small access panel.

• Big difference latest processor but 9 lack the same connections like usb hdmi extra storage. Not their best model.

• The Pro 8 has a quad-core I7 processor and the Pro 9 has a 10-core I7 processor. so mainly the processor.
