• I believe so, but have not triedd must it disconnected. I don't think it has a battery, so it must be connected to function.

• I own two Surfaces — the Pro 8 and Pro 9. I do not know if this keyboard works with another model. For my computers, this key board has to be attached (magnetically) for it to function. It does not work with a hard cable or wirelessly through Bluetooth.
