You can install Windows 10, not sure if that will fix your black screen of death but you can go from Windows 7 to Windows 10

Please try again later.your bsod might not be software caused, there are logs on your system that might assist you in determining the root cause (do a search on crash dumps) and get a log analyzer (i use who crashed). you can put any os on your hardware that can support the "new" os. good luck
