• If you do a clean install from boot screen it should work

• I bought a refurb Dell. The hard drive crashed and I reset the computer before the PC diagnosed itself and told me the hard drive was gone. The windows 7 that came with it I had no license for and when I reset, the windows 7 that I had upgraded to windows 10 was gone. I bought my own Windows 10 and installed the new hard drive and I was able to download the new OS and start over with a new OS and all is OK.
