Place it in the blue 3.0 USB and start the computer, while posting it should flash what you have to press (mine was delete) to enter the bios. Then go to boot, and set it up so it boots from USB 1st. then save and it will ask which version 32 or 64 bit. You can also do it from desk top but it's an upgrade rather than a clean install, also it doesn't give you an option for the version you want, it defaults.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the flash drive too. I had to change my boot disk to usb. there will be 3 option, 'upgrade', 'custom install' and at the bottom of the window will be a 'repair' option. I'd try repair first. If that doesn't work, go to setting on your computer and it'll give you the option to go back to your old version of windows. After that, plugging in the usb should give you the option to upgrade or 'custom install' just by plugging in the usb.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HELLO ARE YOU STARTING THE FLASH DRIVE THRU F9 AND NOT TRYING TO START IT WHILE THE COMPUTER IS ACTUALLY RUNNING. THAT MIGHT WORK TRYING TO START THE PC USING THE FLASH DRIVE INSTEAD OF THE HARD DRIVE MIGHT BE HAVING THOSE ISSUES, HOPE THAT HELPS OUT ANY....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To install through the flash drive you simply plug it in and start up your computer if it is set to boot off external drives first before your hard drive. If your computer does read your hard drive first you will have to change your boot settings which on HP devices can be done right after you start up the computer. As for other systems I do not know but you can probably figure it out through your manufacturers website.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had similar problems when I did the upgrade through Microsoft. I backed up my files, purchased the Win 10, and then did a clean install. Some computers require you tell the Bios to start up from USB drive, which you can do from the settings when you boot your computer. I just put mine in and ran the program with no issues.
