• It could be the problem. You computers mother board may also just not be compatible with the os you have try updating your os. It could also just be a power supply problem.

• Yes, this tells your computer how to be a computer, but it will be bare bones. Any programs you need {like MS Word, or Office etc...} will need to be purchased.or reloaded

• Yes, you need an OS and I would say this is the right one to buy. I would suggest getting the USB version.

• It depends on whether your hard drive. Some OS's need lots of space some don't. Also may want to make sure it is functioning optimally
