Yes. The first thing you should do when you move to W-10 is go into Settings, Updates and download all the updates released after your computer was made.

Historically speaking, it seems like the typical length of time Microsoft supports a product before declaring it "end of life" is about 10 years. Their previous OS, Windows 7, was released on October 22, 2009 and it's going "end of life" on January 14, 2020.
