This does have the ability to upgrade from a previous version of Windows and keep all your existing files and folders, but if you already have Windows installed, this probably isn't the version of the Windows license you want to buy. There is another "Upgrade" version of Windows 10 that is the same exact product, but because it's an upgrade it costs substantially less (typically around $99, I believe). This is a more expensive license designed for brand new PC builds that have never been licensed for a previous version of Windows before.
