The other cord is only and extension to reach a usable USB port. I could not get it to work on the android phone as well. I suspect it would have to be a new phone with higher software levels.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The second thing in the box isn't an adapter. It's only a very short USB extension cable so you can get USB charger power to the adapter. I think this only works with Windows 10. But google this. Maybe there's a way to get it to work with Android... (but I don't think so) There are probably other products for Android. But for Windows 10, the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter works very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The second adapter is just an extender if you need more length to reach either the HDMI or USB Port then that is when you would use it. Try updating the firmware on the adapter itself through a windows device or maybe your phone has an update available. Best of luck!
