I would suggest that you call best buy and ask folks there, they will be able to answer you in a snap. As i think this card is only good for games for the xbox, and the Live is different. But again i would ask the experts.

This gift card is for purchasing games and game extras. I am sure you can also use these funds to go towards your xbox live account. But they are not the same.
