• I just (Nov. 2020) purchased one (digital) of these. And that was after reading one of the responses above, claiming it converted theirs into GPU. I was able to redeem mine for the stated 12 months of XBL (no GPU). I think there would be an uproar if these were selling as one thing and redeeming as another, without at least explicit warning of such. You should be safe.

• While Microsoft has stopped offering the 12 month version of Xbox Live Gold through Microsoft Store online, cards and codes for it purchased through Best Buy and other retailers are still valid.

• I purchased mine October 31, 2020. After an ordeal with BestBuy getting the code activated the card did renew our Xbox Live Gold service for 12 months. Hope this helps.

• IT will convert your Gold Card to 4 months of Ultimate Pass. I just found out the hard way.
