A:Answer Hello! These radios are rated with an output that allows a Max Range of 38 Miles. Best range will be achieved outdoors in open rural areas without obstructions, or on flat areas. The "up to" range is under optimal conditions (ex: over open water, desert, or mountain top to mountain top). As with all two way radios, any obstructions between radios will reduce the range.
