I had to create an XBOX live account and then there will be cues to follow in the my games secition... that is where you enter the code that you should have recieved in your email when the purchase was confirmed. I hope this helps. It is not as difficult as it sounds... although you will need Wi-Fi and an XBOX live account.

If your talking about the Xbox 360. You would want to press the dashboard button, then press right bumper, and then go down to redeem code and then enter the code that was given to you via email. Note: You need internet connection and you also need to be a member of Xbox Live to redeem the code.
