Thanks. You are correct and it was easy I did go ahead and buy the card at Best Buy and yes, no other taxes or fees when I activated it and I got the additional 3 months. Easy and working great.. I'm happy with it. Thanks for your reply.

You prepay everything - they recently started adding the tax surcharges. When you activate the SIM card you get a 6 mo. plan and no additional charges. The Mint customer service is a good resource as well.
