To answer your question... theoretically yes, you can activate 4 months later. However, there is an expiry date on the physical card that you won't know until you break open the packaging. In my experience, that expiry date is normally 1-2 years from now, but if you purchase your SIM card from "old inventory" you'll probably get a card with an earlier expiry date.
