The kit includes two sim cards. One is for trying if Mint works in your area. You will get a new cell number for this card (for up to 7 days). If you decide to transfer to Mint after trail, you will need the second SIM. You can either port in your old number or get a new one.

This is a great way to try a new carrier for five bucks; you get 250mb 4G LTE Data, 250 minutes and 250 Texts for a 7 day trail. Once the trial is over you can sign up with the second SIM card by keeping the number or importing your own. Mint mobile gives you a $5 credit when you purchase a plan with them. If your not sure their service is in your area, check out their website and input your location.
