“Hello, I don't want a camera that has to be watched over the internet. I want something to record on a card & can be looked at on my laptop without fear about being hacked into by hackers. Is this able to do that? Thanks”

That is what protects your ip cameras from being invaded by people online. There app security protects you from people hacking into their databases and taking video data.
