The online manual doesn't appear to be available yet. The way you swap to the foam pads is to rotate the black plastic cups counter-clockwise against the speaker itself. Don't force it, it doesn't take much effort, especially with the ones that are on there when you buy it. They'll turn about a eighth of an inch, then stop. Once they stop, you can pull the cup/pad directly away from the speaker, it'll come right off. Take care not to break the plastic ring inside the foam that secures the foam to the speaker, and make sure that when you put the new ones on that they're in the proper orientation, and that you don't mix left and right. Also, I noticed that the soft foam pads take a bit more effort to install, since the foam gets pinched inside the plastic and adds more friction. You'll now they're installed properly when you feel a slight click, and the triangular corners line up exactly.

What I did was too use the foam piece as a casing for the plastic one. To do this: (Do everything gently) Take off the ear pads by twisting off a quarter of an inch counter clockwise. next, take the plastic triangle out of the soft foam pads. Carefully put the hard earpieces that were originally on the headset into the soft foam. Align the earpieces with the headset, and there you go! The best of both worlds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a hard time with this too. And you are right, the answer IS NOT given in the inserts included. You have to twist off the hard plastic discs (ear piece) and remove them. Then you line up the plastic piece inside the foam and twist them on. I didn't think it would be that great of a fix, but I have had no issues and the headphones are much more comfortable with the foam piece in place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ear pads come off by turning them slightly counter clockwise about a 1/4 or 1/2 inch and then lift them off. The replacements go on the same way except they are turned clockwise slightly to get them to lock into place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They twist off and on. take the foam pad off and your left with the leather pad. Take a firm grip and rotate slowly, I believe, counter clockwise to loosen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should have received a manual with the headphones, otherwise best bet is to use google for help with the headphones. Yes take the plastic ear cups off.
