No need to disassemble, put the cork screw back on top of the wine bottle & push the down button. That should get cork off the screw. Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Take a small utensil, like a seafood fork and hold it on the cork while applying a slight pressure toward the screw while holding the cork purge button and voila.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The top 1/4” of the cork broke off and got stuck below the cylinder that moves down when the wine bottle is engaged. Since corks are springy, it proved impossible to pry it out. I eventually took an ice pick and stabbed the cork enough times to break it into small pieces that would fit past the corkscrew mechanism. I first tried to take the unit apart, but even with the screws removed the two halves wouldn’t separate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my case the entire cork was up in the remover as far as it would go and would not eject. I depressed the inner plastic cylinder, with a finger, as far as it would go and held down the eject button. It came right out. Be careful to not get your finger too close to the screw.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was stuck way up inside. I used a cocktail fork to get it moving, but I couldn't get it all the way out. it was still about 1/4" inside the opening. I was able to get a grip on it with needle-nose pliers, and it came out!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read all the other posts. I had already removed the screws and I agree that this made no difference and would not separate the device. The key is to break into as small pieces as possible, with a sharp utensil, as suggested. Then, some will just drop out, the rest will come out caught on the screw; I found that watching with a flashlight helps my patience. Thanks for all the help!! I was about to throw it out and get another....But it is perfect again.
