I have inline networks. This does not interfere with them. You can 'remove' channels you don't want to watch. Once they are scanned, they usually don't require another, unless something is moved.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as you aren't plugging and unplugging devices, and simply switching the input being displayed it should work. Channels will stay scanned. If you suspect some sort of interference though you may need to rescan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can used just connect the ant in the ant port and the apple tv to hdmi port, after scanning for channel from the tv menu you don't need switch or rescan, just choice what sources to use from your remote control.
