Yes. I had to download the program on my smart tv. I initially attempted to download the program on my den tv and it wouldn’t work it immediately accepted the program on my living room tv as the instructions note to be close to the outside. The cord is very long and can be placed anywhere. I just chose to put it on top of my tv. I hope this answered your question.
