Hello Craftsman, Great question! Metal buildings can significantly block over-the-air TV signals, so placing an antenna inside, even elevated, typically results in weak or no reception. There have been cases where partial reception is received if the antenna is placed near or in the window and close to broadcast towers, but performance can be inconsistent. For the best results, we recommend mounting an outdoor antenna outside the building (on the roof or exterior wall) and running a coax cable inside. This allows the antenna to receive a clear, unobstructed signal. Give us a call if you would like to explore this further and we’d be happy to help recommend the best setup! Thank you
