  • QuestionHow does this work on the bottom floor of an apartment building

    Asked by KZ.

    • Answer It depends, I recommend finding out where the broadcast antennas are in your city, how far away are they, and do you have open air between you and the antenna. Can you place it by a window facing the antenna direction. Is there mountains, hills or tall buildings in between you and the antenna. Typically the higher you can mount an antenna the better. If you have open space give it a try, save your receipt so you can return if it doesn't work. Otherwise this is a great product and works well under the right conditions. Good luck.

    • Answer Hi Tina! You can connect almost any size cable as long as they are using a standard F-connector. Best Buy does sell the recommended size coaxial cable along with the coupler if needed. • QuestionI have a living quarters built inside a metal building. Can this be placed on top of the living quarters inside the metal building? It would place it about 9.5 feet above ground level.

    Asked by Craftsman.

    • Answer Hello Craftsman, Great question! Metal buildings can significantly block over-the-air TV signals, so placing an antenna inside, even elevated, typically results in weak or no reception. There have been cases where partial reception is received if the antenna is placed near or in the window and close to broadcast towers, but performance can be inconsistent. For the best results, we recommend mounting an outdoor antenna outside the building (on the roof or exterior wall) and running a coax cable inside. This allows the antenna to receive a clear, unobstructed signal. Give us a call if you would like to explore this further and we’d be happy to help recommend the best setup! Thank you

  • QuestionCan I attach a splitter to connect 2 TVs, if so will that degrade the signal too much.

    Asked by TedB.

    • Answer Hi Ted, yes, you can absolutely connect a splitter to use your antenna on 2 TVs. You should not see signal loss unless you are using 100+ feet of coaxial cable. Even then the loss would be minimal. If you would like a more detailed explanation or need any assistance with installation, we are here Monday-Friday to help at 877-825-5572. Thank you for your question.

  • QuestionI live on the ocean facing due east. What kind of reception and channels will I get?

    Asked by Range.

    • Answer You can use a website to find location of stations near you and use that as a gauge for what you will be able to receive clearing. This particular antenna is not directional, so if you have nothing close you want, you may want to look at a mountable directional antenna. example: https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html
