• I would be surprised if there was no coaxial cable input but if there is not, then yes, you need a converter.

• No coaxial input? Sounds like you need DVD or BUS, is whatever device to take the input and be your Tuner.

• I have a 4k tv and it has a cable port (which can be a little difficult to find). I just plugged it into the cable port. TV's these days still have cable ports.
