“Is the amplifier in the little round cylinder thats attached to the cable? Is it OK to cut the cable to move the amp closer to the antenna?”

• No need to cut anything. The powered connection is a USB and the tv is connected. Only the rg6 coax needed to be longer. It's a 50 mile indoor antenna that I used out side up a tree.

• It is but I'm afraid that Abu modification to the antenna would void the warranty. You can swap out the 16 foot coaxial cable between the antenna and they amplifier for a shorter one if needed. Altering the antenna by cutting any of the cables is not recommended.
