Don't know if the cold would affect it but it is so easy to connect and disconnect. Extremely portable to bring indoors when needed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see no reason to disconnect. This has no moving parts. The tv may have temperature limitations but I have had a tv on a covered exterior deck in winter with no problem. If room is heated intermittent it might cause condensation that would be bad for the tv but I doubt it would affect the antenna.
