• This antenna comes with a coaxial connector that connects to the back of the TV and does not need to be near a window.

• Antennas work best when they are in a window simply because there is a clear line of site to the towers. Sometimes the building materials that a home is made of will block some of the signals. We've had people that always had their antenna on a wall by their TV try a window and the results were pretty impressive. With the Metro the coaxial cable connects to the coaxial jack on your TV. That's it.

• This connects to the back of the TV and I do not have it set up next to windows. And it works fine.
