• The surge protector does have indicator lights to tell you it is still working & to the best of my knowledge, protects for both lightning storms & power company surge spikes as well as when power goes off & comes back on !!! I have two, one large, one medium & my father the medium shown in ad !!!

• Yes we have several power spikes and this has saved my computer and printer many times.
