It's a physical card, but you need to download it anyway. Pretty sure it's just another excuse for Nintendo to not let players own their games anymore.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Some releases, especially for Switch 1, used to be download codes, but this is a game key card, which is not a download code. It is a physical cartridge containing the license for the game, but game data must be downloaded from the internet to function, much like releases for PlayStation and Xbox often require. This is explained in detail at the bottom of the front of the box. The cartridge can be lent or resold at will, unlike single-redemption download codes.
