• No. They're not waterproof.

• On the monster site it says they're splash and waterproof for 30 minutes at 1 meter depth. I'd still recommend getting the protection plan on them if you're going to be showering with them, though. It seems like it would make it much more likely something would go wrong with them.

• yes, they both can be used to show or any other water activity. I use them while I swim.
