They led me to believe that the warranty covered any damages including accidental damages, but when my 75" LG television was damaged by my toddler throwing a toy they told me it wasn't covered. What's the point of purchasing an extra warranty if it covers nothing accidental. Be up front an tell the truth. False advertising.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Totaltech through Best Buy. I bought it when I purchased my Galaxy S22 Ultra Plus. They told if anything happened to it they would repair it or replace it. Recently the screen on my phone cracked, I do not even know how. I went in to have it fixed. No store in my area can fix it because none of them are Samsung Certified. So, they told me I need to have it replace and in order to replace it they charge $100. I talked to agents on the phone and online all of them told me this should be done free, but the stores flat out refuse to do it and tell me those agents are wrong. So, the plan seems to be a huge lie from my perspective.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought my roomba for service after noticing that it could no longer recognize it charging base. Although I have total tech, the store charged me $82 to have it repaired. They explained that even though we have warranty through total tech, we need to pay a deductible for the service. So, it is not a true warranty. It’s more like an insurance protection plan, in my opinion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn’t.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m my case- my roomba drove itself down the stairs and we were told we had to pay 10% of the device cost in order for them to send it out to be refurbished. Device is only 5 months old and we have an active total tech membership.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's touted as a one-stop-shop for all your service and repair needs, not the case. Beyond an initial remote service call to repair a computer software glitch, TotalTech wasn't able to take care of a simple operating system update on my laptop. I gave up and had the original manufacturer take care of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my case it was a total coverage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Truly not sure. I’ve been a BB Total member for years and have multiple items on monthly protection plans. Recently my son’s Xbox started to fail. Customer Service told me to take it to my store for Geek Squad to try and fix. That if they couldn’t fix my protection plan would mean I get a new replacement. News flash, Geek Squad doesn’t fix Xbox consoles. They provided a different policy which was them sending my Xbox out for repairs (3-4 weeks) and then likely receiving a refurbished console (3-4 additional weeks). No one can seem to give a straight answer let alone a consistent answer. Customer Service will say anything to make you feel satisfied and get off the phone. Feel like the protection plans are a total waste of money. In the few instances I needed support it’s a long drawn out back and forth. Impossible to speak with anyone reliable. Disappointed that it’s like this after being a long loyal customer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So it covers damage for things like cellphones, but what they don’t tell you is that claims after the first year have a $100 deductible. Also, almost none of the products are protected against damage. It is basically just the software. The best thing about this is the fact that AppleCare is included. However, Apple limited the unlocked cellular devices that Bestbuy can sell, to previous generation models only, and Bestbuy doesn’t offer the apple care for free if you buy the phone as part of a service. Most of us bought the plan, because it offered us the option to buy things ahead of the general public. Now even that appears to be a thing of the past. On top of this Best Buy offers less for your trade in of laptops and such, so the cost for apple care is now a wash. Overall, it is not a good deal anymore and I honestly would not recommend it to most people. Just skip this and buy the coverage through the manufacturer as it will be better served for protecting against physical damage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Today brought in my keyboard with accident damage having the protection plan they told me it expired by two months but helped another lady next to me and hers expired 3 months and told me they can’t do anything for me they claim to send emails out when the protection plan is close to expire yet I never received one so I called costumer servers the lady was rude at costumer services at the end ignored me till I hung up the phone we went back to the best buy to costumer support he was helpful saying u can pay to extend ur protection and doesn’t understand why I didn’t get a email he sent us to corporate but the lady didn’t care about how customer service responded to me and denied my replacement and claimed she didn’t have any idea about geek squad advertising the protection plan extending for a price even tho it’s their company I don’t think I’ll be buying from there again when protection plans and claimed extensions are falsely advertised
