Yes it Does and has emojis as well which my son been playing with it , you can record voice message too

Our Moochies watches can receive text messages from contacts who have been permitted access by the guardian/main administrator to be able to send text messages via the MyMoochies App to the Moochies. However, our Moochies watches cannot send text messages, but our Moochies watches can send emojis, as well as photo messages/voice messages, and these require data. The reason why we have not applied texting from the watch to the phone is because some customers and their little ones found the watch screen way too small to type on it, hence why you can only send photos and voice messages where your little ones have more freedom to physically say more vocally via voice recording themselves.
