• Yes but I would suggest a life proof case and a external power pack to just plug your phone into when the batter gets low. This case is heavy & slick has no grip and won’t charge properly.

• Yes and no the case charges devices wirelessly so if you buy the xs max version like I have any iPhone that supports that feature and fits in the case can charge , but that's it it can't be a case cause the top won't fit any 8 and the x is to small. I have tested with an iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone XR to come to this conclusion.
