The mophie casing covers the entire iphone and comes with its own charging cord. It is not the same cord as the iPhone 6s plus cord. When you charge the mophie using its own charging cord you must keep the mophie on OFF mode. I usually do this every night before I go to bed. This will charge both the phone and the mophie at the same time. Only turn the mophie ON mode when you are on the go and need extra battery juice. Repeat these steps every night faithfully and she should have no problems.
