“My USB port on my note 8 no longer works so now I have to charge the phone using the Samsung wireless pad. Will this case charge the phone wirelessly? Or does it only charge through the USB-C connection from the case to the phone?”

Yes with it on, can charge qi wireless pad. And yes it can charge thru usb c thru same phone connector of note8 then thru the mophie connector at the same time.

I wouldn't assume it would charge being the port on the phone isn't properly working

I just tried it and didnt worked prob is just wireless passthrough, my opinion fix the usb =p or get one of those battery banks that have wireless charging

Yes both will charge wirelessly. Problem is I have gone through 5 mophie cases in 3 months.those stop charging.

It charges BOTH ways. Well worth the money.
