You can definitely recharge the charger; its power input port is a micro-USB, like many phones and other devices use. I carry an AC wall plug with a USB port and a 24-inch USB-to-micro-USB cable to charge this device while I'm on the road. Regarding your iPhone 6+: I'm using my battery with a regular iPhone 6 (and now a regular 7). I've charged them twice off the battery, along with my Bluetooth earpiece, and I've never run it all the way down. I'm pretty confident you could get two full charges; obviously they're suggesting you could get three charges -- but I don't know if that accounts for the extra demands of your Plus-size phone.
