"Will the powerstation external battery charge my smartphone? mophie powerstation external batteries are compatible with virtually any available smartphone. For example, the powerstation 1X battery can provide up to 1X extra battery to an iPhone 6; the powerstation 2X battery can provide up to 2X extra battery to an iPhone 6, and the powerstation 3X battery can provide up to 3X extra battery to an iPhone 6."

- Answer You can definitely recharge the charger; its power input port is a micro-USB, like many phones and other devices use. I carry an AC wall plug with a USB port and a 24-inch USB-to-micro-USB cable to charge this device while I'm on the road. Regarding your iPhone 6+: I'm using my battery with a regular iPhone 6 (and now a regular 7). I've charged them twice off the battery, along with my Bluetooth earpiece, and I've never run it all the way down. I'm pretty confident you could get two full charges; obviously they're suggesting you could get three charges -- but I don't know if that accounts for the extra demands of your Plus-size phone.

QuestionDo you have to use any cords for it to charge a phone besides charging the piece itself? My phone is not charging with cords anymore. So I want to make sure it's worth buying.

- Answer I carry an 18-inch USB-to-Lightning cord for charging my iPhone 7. I also carry a 24-inch USB-to-micro-USB for charging my Plantronics Bluetooth headset; this cord can also be used, with an AC adaptor if necessary, to recharge the Mophie 3X.
