• Yes you do, the 5c phone it self is designed different then 5 or 5s. It's curved in the rear and the 5 (5s) is square therefore unless the case is designed for the specifically 5c it will not work.

• lightning connector to HDmI adapter and then USB to to AC connecter. I take the Mophie Storage adapter bottom off for this.It'll also charge your iPhone while watching TV.
