A: Yes you do, the 5c phone it self is designed different then 5 or 5s. It's curved in the rear and the 5 (5s) is square therefore unless the case is designed for the specifically 5c it will not work.

Necessary if you travel
I personally don't need the expanded memory, but for those that do this case is a great option, even to purchase the IPhone with less memory and get this case to expand it, might save you a few bucks. This case is a little bulky and overall makes the phone more cumbersome, that doesn't bother me too much, but the added battery life is a life saver for me. Just make sure you follow the directions and charge the phone and case at the same time, keep the case "off" and when your phone battery gets down <20% turn the case "on" and before you know it, you have 100% battery again.

best try yet for extra storage on iphone
this product is a great idea, but poorly executed. does transfer photos and notes and stuff like that to the ext drive, but music you have to hook it to your computer and add it, very poor interface with music. different plug than iphone, so it wouldnt work with my iphone adapter, had to use bluetooth. also has to have adapter for music. the thing is nice if you have a good screen protector, and are not active a lot.

extra juice
nice case offer extra juice for iphone5s. extra storage 16gb but stores data in a different app. makes iphone a little longer and wider but overall nice case.
