“I feel like my connection is worse after upgrading to this modem (especially casting to smart tv)--WHY do I have THE OPTION of two different NETWORK NAMES--one for 2.4 GHz and one for 5 GHz? Which one I should connect to? Thanks.”

2.4 is for long distance connectivity. 5.0 is for short distance but a much stronger connection.
