“I thought 2-year contract subsidies were going away? I thought the only two options with Verizon were to purchase outright or to purchase using the monthly $26/month plan (this is all their website shows as well). How is Best Buy able to offer for $249 with 2-year contract? Thanks!”

Best buy is the only place I know that has a two year contract with a free phone or for a dollar you just have to wait for the deal to come up

I get the phone relatively cheap with a 2 year renewal of my contract. They should bring that back, new every 2, Verizon and the rest of the carriers, they make their money back by having us locked into a contract.
