“I currently have a Motorala DOC SIS 2.0 Modem. Xfinity has sent me a letter stating that my internet service will no longer work on there network with this modem. So if I purchase this modem how long will it be before I have to update again?”

Unless they update you to speeds to 400+ Mbps, not for awhile.

Please try again later.i am very happy with the motorola docsis 3.0 i have it with comcast (xfinity) easy set up and better throughput. you wont go wrong with this modem with comcast modem i was suppose to get 60mbps was getting 40 mbps with the motorola doc sis 3.0 im getting between 55 and 60 mbps plus no rental charge hope this helps
