• I use Magic Jack -- and never used OOMA, but I would imagine that it would work with any VOIP system. I do plug my MODEM into a CYBERPOWER surge protector - which allows many more things to be plugged in -- for example with MAGIC JACK there is no way to plug any power or ethernet cable into the MODEM but it is plugged into the POWER STRIP. There are not a lot of places to plug things into this modem.
