It depends. Having just this adapter connected to the coax cable and to Ethernet is not enough. As a minimum you would also need MoCA-capable gateway. For instance, some Comcast-provided gateways have MoCA stuff built into them. If your modem isn't MoCA-capable then you need the second MoCA adapter like this one connected to your gateway. There're also requirements for cable drops, filtering and splitters used inside your house. Research the subject online if you need more details as there're too many to explain them here. Bottom line here is that you can get it to work for you fairly well but you must meet the technical requirements.

Please try again later.Yes, if you have existing internet connectivity through the coax in your home (Gigabit connection recommended but not required, to get the most out of this adapter), then the adapter takes the connectivity out of the coax network, converts it into Ethernet and feeds it to the device of your choosing, in your case PC. In my case, I have source of FiOS (Gigabit) from 1st floor garage --> coax network --> MoCa adapter on 2nd floor --> Ethernet into router. From the router, it sends both wireless signals throughout house as well as Ethernet into Apple TV for streaming. Speed is blazing fast. Without this setup my Gigabit wireless connection coming out of garage was quite poor and mostly unreliable. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it worked fine for me when I tried it. But, I had to return it due to my intended use on STB and TV ethernet was not successful, per Motorola Tech Support.
